Roll up for the greatest show in town! Stage 8 of the Tour of Britain; London. 14 laps, 54 miles. It was a fitting end to a great week of racing. And the atmosphere was electric! The pace was full gas from the off – you would have been forgiven for thinking the support vehicles were taking part in a BTCC race! Top week for Conor Dunne – runner-up in the sprints overall, and 5th place KoM.
Stage 7 of the Tour of Britain; Fakenham to Ipswich. 141 miles. 5:30am start to reach Fakenham before the crowds. Took some paddock shots before heading off to Reepham, our first viewing point. The Norfolk drizzle was soon replaced by glorious sunshine. Old Buckenham was next, followed by the climb at Needham Market, before the finish in Ipswich. Huge crowds. Great fun.

Nine days after Roger Dunne's untimely death, his three brothers, a nephew, a childhood friend, and myself embarked on a ride in his memory. We climbed the Pionnier to the Combe Laval and descended the Col de la Machine, Roger's favourite. We didn't speak. We just rode and took in the incredible scenery, lost in our thoughts. An emotional ride – sadly one short in the bunch.
